They’re doing living and dining room week, so it’s a big week cause it’s two rooms, and massive amounts of gyprock and all that sort of thing. And a few of them are upset about the ‘anything but a bedroom’ week because they were criticised for their size and things like that. But you know, I think that they were criticised rightly because they shouldn’t have taken so much space away.

Well, I did an intervention on their budget because they were just ridiculous with their spending and they had no idea what they were doing, and they had no idea what they were spending, it was just stupid.

You give them $250k— you’ve got 12 spaces to do, just divide it up and put a little bit more on the bathroom and a little bit more on the kitchen, you know, it seems pretty simple to me. Anyway, I wrote out a whole weekly plan for them and they still didn’t listen to me, and they just kept going the way they were so that was actually very annoying. Waste of my time. I did it three times for them—I gave more help to those people than I’ve given anybody else on The Block.

Well, Jason and Sarah spent a ridiculous amount, and so did Hannah and Clint, and just about most of the couples spent too much money—except for maybe Sticks and Wombat, their budget came in alright. But some of the contestants spent the most money ever spent on a bathroom, like ridiculous amounts— maybe a third of their budget.
